Regional Director of Managed Care

Regional Director of Managed Care to develop and implement reimbursement strategies for new and existing products. Provides regional market leadership on reimbursement strategies, policy changes, healthcare reform, pricing coverage, coding, and payment of medical device products.

Assess regional and national evolving legislative and political changes to the healthcare policy which could impact Company and its products. Position requires strict compliance to cleared indications. Position will help insure no off-label claims or indications are being promoted by any personnel directly or indirectly associated with the Company. Must understand, follow and comply with regulatory requirements as defined by Title 21 CFR Part 820, as applicable to this position. An understanding of FDA Quality System Regulations and ISO Standards (ISO 13485) is required.

Must have a thorough understanding of working in an environment controlled by standards and regulations, including but not limited to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and Quality System Regulations (QSRs), both US and international. Must have a working knowledge of, understand, follow, and comply with all applicable regulatory requirements related to Class II and Class III medical devices. Must have a thorough knowledge of the medical reimbursement system within the US, including both government (MediCare) and third party private health insurers. Demonstrated knowledge calling upon Medical Directors and Directors of Medical Policy for third party payors. Has established, positive relationships with such payors, particularly among regional market providers.

MINIMUM EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

Minimum 5 + years sales and/or marketing experience in the medical field, preferably in diagnostics or medical devices with 2-3 years directly interfacing with payors.

BS degree in a scientific discipline. MBA desirable but not required.
