Provider Relations Coordinator

POSITION SUMMARY
The Provider Relations Specialist is responsible for applying for and maintaining all Medicare, Medicaid and physician provider numbers for the corporation as well as provider numbers for any other payers. This position also serves as the main coordinator between the counties, programs and any outside billing agency for the organization’s professional billing. Provides support as requested on a variety of A/R issues related to new program start up billing or new payer contracts as it relates to billing. This position interfaces on a daily basis with many other internal departments including contracts and reimbursement, new business development and operations as well as program staff. Additional frequent communications with outside customers, including governmental agencies is also required.

QUALIFICATIONS
• Minimum of four (4) years of prior experience working with Medicare and Medicaid provider enrollment applications; will substitute education for experience.
• Detailed knowledge of Medicare and Medicaid billing and collection is also required, preferably in a psychiatric hospital or skilled nursing facility environment.
• Analytical and problem solving skills, the ability to understand complex reimbursement contracts.
• Excellent organizational skills, and the ability to work and communicate effectively with program staff, management staff, government representatives and customers.
• An AA degree.
• Computer literacy and the demonstrated capacity to work with Excel and/or Access.
• Applicant must be fingerprinted and receive clearance from the Department of Justice and The Office of inspector General.
