The Clinical Nurse Specialist (CNS) at our Medical Center acts as a role model, develops the bedside nurse, foster’s empowerment through knowledge to achieve excellence through the delivery of research based, cost effective nursing care. Our Medical Center encourages variations in the CNS practice to meet the needs of the diverse units and the global needs of the organization. The CNS is responsible for creating a professional nursing climate within the organization. This position supervises RN, LPN, PCT, Unit Secretary, and CNR. This position reports to Manager of Clinical Education.

Skills / Requirements
• MSN is required.
• Florida RN license and CPR/ACLS training and specialty certification.
• BCLS/ACLS instructor certification preferred.
• 4 years clinical experience in specialty.
• Interpersonal skills, ability to teach the adult learner at all levels, Critical thinking, preceptor/mentor, leadership, information services and customer service skills are required.
• Case Management, Quality management and research skills preferred.
