Clinical Ed Specialist-Surgical Services

Description The Clinical Education Specialist for Surgical Services serves as a change agent to meet staff and patient/family needs. As a role model, the CES is an interdisciplinary team member; works collaboratively as a consultant to ensure optimal patient care; and is responsible for the coordination of services and resources in the area of expertise.
Requirements Must have BSN and Master’s degree. Must have current Florida RN license. Must have CPR Training, and CNOR. Prefer BCLS/ACLS instructor but must have within 1 year of hire. Must have 5-7+ years of clinical experience in surgical services. Must have Leadership skills, Information Services skills, proficient Critical Thinking skills, strong Interpersonal skills and excellent Customer Service skills. Prefer Case Management skills, Quality Management skills, Research skills and Staff Development/Educator skills. Must be able to teach the adult learner at all levels.
